HISTORY OF SQUAM RIVER STUDIOS

In Ashland, New Hampshire, the geographic center of the state, sits a brick building that was originally erected in the early 1900’s. The primary purpose of the structure was to serve as the town bank for the expanding town. Shani purchased the building in 2012 and after substantial renovations, received the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance Award (2014). Squam River Studios has reclaimed the property and transformed the space into an artist studio.

The studio is open by appointment only
